Blog Post #6: Who is the 'hero' of your book?

I'm still reading the book City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. The person I think to be the hero is still Clary. In my last post I talked about how Clary had put herself in danger at the club she had went to how she showed Sacrifice by going after to save the boy. More qualities of a Hero that Clary shows would be Bravery and Selflessness because she did this and stood up to the 3 mysterious strangers with the knives, just to keep the blue haired boy safe.
Reading on from that I found that she showed these qualities more than once. In the book, Clary had been sitting at a poetry reading with her best friend, Simon. She saw one of the more outgoing strangers that had a knife walking out of Java Jones(The place where the reading was). Clary chased after him to confront him. Then after she talked to him and learned what he really was, she got a call from her mother. Her mother was panicked and had told Clary not to go home for it was too dangerous. But Clary, who wanted to protect her mother, ran home to face off a Ravener Demon. "With a feeling of increasing panic she pushed the door open." (Cassandra Clare, page 49) Although she was frightened, she still went through with the search for her mom.

This is the photo I chose to go along with this post. The reason I chose it is because I believe a Hero can be anyone. Clary was a normal girl (Or so she thought) until she became a hero to protect people. Superman is a good example of how Clary acts, Being a hero when needed and the time is right to be one.
